The doctrine of evolution is very troubling. Right here an evolutionist will pipe in that, “It is not a doctrine. It is a fact.” Is it? Do you know anyone who was there and wrote about his experience? There are certain facts that ARE known. We have fossils and we have layers of rock strata. We have skeleton parts. They do not tell us anything. They are mute. Someone has to theorize what happened with them. People HAVE to take a guess. That guess begins with your belief system. If you do not believe in an Intelligent Creator then you have to believe in chaotic chance. Chaotic chance requires the universe to be immeasurably old. That is pretty much what some people believe. Doctrine is what you believe – it’s a matter of faith. Evolution is therefore doctrine.
Many people today believe in the millions of years old Earth theory. It is a popular way to think of the universe. Many teachers in grade schools, high schools and colleges are teaching this theory as fact, not as just one of the theories on the universe. Many scientists in NASA and other companies are stating this theory as fact. I hear such statements on NOVA television programs.
As popular as evolution is, it is NOT FACT. It is theory! It is a theory that is chock full of holes. It is so full of holes that any other theory that had this many holes in it would have died. People have such faith in this doctrine that they just KNOW the holes will eventually be plugged proving that it is the only way to think of the universe. That is NOT scientific thinking. That is faith. People will argue until they are blue in the face that what they believe is true and what you believe is not true. And evolutionists are no different.
Let me give you two quotes from scientists that contradict the doctrine of evolution: Albert Szent-Gyorgi, Nobel Laureate, wrote, “To improve a living organism by random mutation is like saying you could improve a Swiss watch by dropping it and bending one of its wheels or axis. Improving life by random mutations has the probability of zero.” Richard Leakey, paleoanthropologist, said in a PBS documentary in 1990, “If pressed about man’s ancestry, I would have to unequivocally say that all we have is a huge question mark. To date, there has been nothing found to truthfully purport as a transitional specie to man . . . If further pressed, I would have to state that there is more evidence to suggest an abrupt arrival of man rather than a gradual process of evolving.” “Abrupt arrival” seems to fit in with the Bible’s account of man’s arrival on the scene. So the evidence out there suggests an intelligent design of nature and a sudden introduction of man. Both premises are supported by the Biblical account of history.
That is right!
The Bible claims it is a historical account of man’s past as witnessed by God Himself! If you study the Bible you will find that it does not contradict historical and scientific facts. All the historical findings that are reported support the Bible account of man’s history and all the scientific facts are supportive of Bible statements.
